Meet Dr. Cahillane
Dr. Jim Cahillane is a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana and graduated from Portage High School in 1970. Dr. Cahillane received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University majoring in Mathematics in 1974. He received his degree in dentistry from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1978. Since then, Dr. Cahillane has been providing outstanding dental care to the Hobart, Indiana area and volunteers for many dental related activities.
Dr. Cahillane is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association/Northwest Chapter, Chicago Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Forensic Dentistry, Indiana Academy of Forensic Dentistry, International Academy of Mini Dental Implants, Past member of Indiana University School of Dentistry Alumni Board and is presently a member of the Indiana University School of Dentistry Faculty in Indianapolis serving as an Associate Clinical Professor in the comprehensive care clinic.
Dr. Cahillane has received the Fellow of Academy of General Dentistry Award for excellence in continuing dental education, Sheriff’s Award/Porter County for dedication and service in dental forensics, and the Indiana University School of Dentistry Alumni Association Service Award.
In his spare time, Dr. Cahillane enjoys spending time with his four daughters. He enjoys exercising, swimming, cycling, golf, reading, music and following all local, Chicago and IU sports teams.
